The overall goal of the Guide is to improve the caregiver’s confidence in their role, their caregiving skills, and their ability to manage their own health and wellness as they care for their loved one. Caregiver Support Video Series has been developed to fill evidence-based, identified gaps in the areas of medical-related skills training and caregiver self-care (physical and psychosocial). These videos will provide much-needed instruction on self-care, side-effect management, medical best practices, and much more. Healthy Eating, Physical Activity, Stress Management, Fear of Recurrence, Relaxation, and Communication are now available. The remaining 6 videos related to port and drain care, identifying signs of infection, and other medical-instruction content will be released in early 2019. The videos can be accessed here:

Published by the Family Caregiver Alliance and dedicated to families caring for loved ones with chronic, disabling health conditions, this site is an excellent source of education and information for caregivers around the country. It provides tips and advice written by caregivers or experts; offers information on available workshops and conferences about caregiving; provides information on public policy pertaining to caregivers; outlines pertinent current research, and provides links to national and local resources.
